Join us in congratulating Peter on his big achievement!
Senior Mechanical Engineer Peter Meinz is now a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Minnesota. He earned the distinction by completing a series of two day long exams and submitting a detailed summary of his education and professional experience. The whole process took more than a year, with countless hours spent reading engineering textbooks and solving hundreds of practice problems.
As stated by the National Society of Professional Engineers, “PE licensure is the engineering profession's highest standard of competence, a symbol of achievement and assurance of quality. PEs shoulder the responsibility for not only their work, but also for the lives affected by that work and must hold themselves to high ethical standards of practice.” You can find a lot more information about what it means to be a PE on their website (https://www.nspe.org/resources/licensure).
